Rum - Ron - Rhum
History of Rum is just as fascinating as the beverage itself. The cornerstones have been set by the Spanish and Portugeese conquistadores at the time of Christopher Columbus by taking the sugarcane, the base of every rum, to the Caribbean Islands. On their journeys to far new countries they also brought stills along, launching the triumphal procession of the rum.
Nowadays high quality rums have become much more common, reaching the hightest levels of popularity with spirit aficionados and high class gastronomy. Due to its complexity and quality rum meanwhile is cited in tandem with good old friends like Whisk(e)y or Cognac.

Rum-Cocktail of the Month
Pleasure in the John-Cranko-Lounge: We serve Rum Cocktails with regional, seasonal or exclusive ingredients - Cocktail is changing on a monthly basis. We use homemade syrups, liqueurs or similar ingredients.
To allow you an easy access to the world of rum we offer a variety of "Rum Flights" with selected rums served in 2 cl glasses. Every "Flight" is served with an aroma kit to let you experience the flavours of rum.
